Can you believe it’s been a whole year since the last Lush Crawely Christmas gathering! 2017 saw even more bloggers descend upon the Crawley store for demos and to learn more about the new Lush products which have been introduced for this year’s festivities!
Last year we got the chance to make our own Butterbear Bath Bombs, and this year we got a bit more technical and made our own Bûche de Noël cleanser!
As you can see from the photos, the process was a little messy! And I do apologise for the photo of what looks like sick! It smelt really good but yes indeed looks like vomit (the end result doesn’t I promise!)
This cleanser is perfect for the Christmas period due to its festive ingredients, including satsumas, cranberries, brandy, almonds and kaolin! I asked what brand the brandy was but it wasn’t specified lol! Bûche de Noël also features organic cocoa butter so ensures your skin stays soft and hydrated during these frightfully cold months.
One of the bath bombs which stood out for me was little guy the “The Snowman” at £4.25 you can definitely get a few uses out of him! E.g. take his head off = 1 bath! Like many Lush products The Snowman features Shea Butter so super smooth on the skin, and also 2 forms of Lemon Oil (Sicilian & Myrtle) both of which help to refresh and cleanse your body.
If you’re looking for real value for money and Autumnal smells then “The Magic of Christmas” bubble bar might be a little more up your street! Warm spicy cinnamon smells and reusable! I’d say you can probably get 2-3 uses from this bar . . 5 if your really careful with how much you use so its great value!
If cinnamon isn’t your bag, and your more of a candy man or women then they also do a “Magic Wand” reusable bubble bar which I could never use as I’d end up eating it! Anything which smells edible I have to taste or lick (as Tania from TeaBeeBlog found out hahaaa)
While at the bloggers event Laura spoke to us about the NEW way Lush is helping to be MORE environmentally friendly, I say more in capitals as they already do SO SO much! But Lush have now introduced “Naked Products” this doesn’t mean you have to be naked when using them (well having a bath fully clothed isn’t ideal, but you know what I mean) NAKED is all about the packaging, or lack of.
Imagine what a shower gel looks like in a bottle, then imagine the shower gel in a soap/hard form, then imagine the packing being removed = a product which looks like a packaged product by shape but is actually naked? Does this make any sense? Well take a look HERE!
I personally think the idea is great! Whenever I travel and take shampoos, showers gels away with me I always worry what may be going on in my case? Have they leaked etc. so with the naked products it basically eliminates that fear.
So there we have it! A small portion of the Christmas 2017 range by Lush! As always I will be heading to my nearest store to pick up some Xmas gifts for friends and family and will 100% going naked moving forward.
Lastly a big thank you to Laura & her team at Crawley Lush for another fantastic event! The knowledge and love you have for the Lush brand is amazing! See you next time!
