The Crucible | Theatre Royal Brighton

Last night I went to the press night of The Crucible at Theatre Royal Brighton which stars Coronation Street star Charlie Condou and Call The Midwife star Victoria Yeates.

I was really looking forward to the play however found myself bored and not enjoying myself which I think is down to the fact it just wasn’t my cup of tea . . . . I found it extremely long and not much really happened in my honest opinion.

I googled to see other people’s views and some gave it a 4 star review and high praise so I’m sure it’s just because it’s not my kind of play. I must say the dialogue was full on and fast so my hat goes off to the whole crew who were excellent in their performances.

Whats It About? The Crucible is a 1953 play by playwright Arthur Miller, which tells the story of witch trials in Salem during 1962/93.

The Crucible is at Theatre Royal Brighton until Saturday 29th April with shows every evening at 7:45pm and 2 matinees Thurs/Sat at 2.30pm. Click Here to book.
