I survived week 1 of the 21 DAYS TO #FEELIT with Virgin Active campaign! And I couldn’t feel any better!
Exercising everyday for 7 days has been tough but I did it and I’m super proud of myself! And the support and tips I have received from people on twitter and various other social media has been invaluable!
As I said in my “The Beginning” post I will be sharing with you my stats every week so you can see my progress. I was very nervous stepping on those scales yesterday as I was worried they wouldn’t show how much work I’ve put it but I needn’t worry! I am super happy with how far I’ve come in only 7 days!
Current Stats:
- Weight: 14st 12lb / 94.6kg | I have LOST 6lbs!
- Height: 5’11” | still the same height obvs!
- BMI: 29.9 | down by 0.2
- Body Fat: 26.7% | stayed the same
- Body Fat Mass: 24.4kg | down by 0.6kg
So for week 1 I am absolutely over the moon! And this enthusiasm takes me through to week 2! Its Monday morning and I was up at 5:30am and in the pool by 6.30am (the 2nd person in the pool may I add!) And I have my second PT session tomorrow evening!
Along with swimming regularly and using the gym facilities I have also been watching what I eat. A normal day consists of a Banana in the morning, Chicken & Salad for lunch, a fish or white meat dinner with veg and a few “healthy snacks” I am obsessed with the Bounce Energy Balls which give you a nice hit of energy!
Personal Training Session 1
Ok where do I start? Well my PT is called Dean and he kind of resembles Dwayne the Rock Johnson (Hench AF) but he’s a lovely bloke and started off my first session with asking me what I wanted out of it. My main aim being to lose weight so this was duly noted and we began our session.
Oh sweet Jesus! I was literally DEAD after my session (well I didn’t actually last the whole session) but it really opened my eyes up to the different forms of exercise. Dean had me doing circuits . . . which I had never done before but had seen in military style shows! God it was so tough but I knew I needed to push myself, and the reassurance from Dean was keeping me going. I think my down fall was the fact I hadn’t eaten all day and went straight into a hard-core PT session! So I have learnt my lesson now and will ensure I eat 60-90 minutes before my session to give me the vital energy required.
My next session is tomorrow and I can just about feel my legs again! So that must mean I’m ready to go! Radox Feel Good Fragrance Muscle Therapy Bath Soak works wonders! #NotSponsored
Wish me luck for week 2!
