Valentino Uomo

Ever since I smelt this scent in a department store at the beginning of 2014 I knew I had to have it! The fragrance wasn’t actually released in the UK at the time! But had a February 2014 release date which was just in time for Valentine’s Day, very clever of them!

Uomo was featured in the January 2014 UK edition of GQ as the “Fragrance of the Week” and still to this day features in the magazine.

What attracted me to the fragrance was the packaging which I know is wrong! But I’m a sucker for a fancy bottle, and the Valentino Uomo does not disappoint! It’s a beautiful studded crystal bottle with a simple gold plaque and reminds me of an old liquor bottle! Truly looks stunning.

The Valentino fashion house described the fragrance as “notes stemming from the garden of the palazzo” which after some investigation is the name of the beautiful gardens in Italy.

I think it has a really masculine and sophisticated feel, and normally use this sparingly when going to party’s or events as I think day to day it may become very overpowering.

Along with the fragrance, they have released shower gel, balms and a deodorant which I am going to have to try and most likely buy!

If you love the smell of Bergamot & Myrtle with a hint of Coffee Beans, Chocolate & Hazelnut also a splash of Leather & Ceda for good measures! Then this scent is for you and i highly recommend it.

This is going to be a fragrance I buy over and over again, and i think is now my signature fragrance.

Let me know your signature fragrance!

  1. Poême. Bought for me by a friend years ago when I used to leave the house to party not just to do the school run. Ah, those were the days. I wear it sparingly now, as a bit of a treat, the merest waft brings back fabulous memories. Fuzzy, drunken memories but memories non the less.
