Ideal Home Show at Christmas

On Thursday evening myself and my friend Cat (who works for a Marketing agency in London) were invited to the VIP After Dark event at the London Ideal Home Show at Christmas where we got to meet the team and experience the Christmas festivities by night!

This was my first time attending any kind of Ideal Home Show which is complete madness considering its been around since 1908! Yes you heard me 1908! Over 100 years and still going strong!

The Ideal Home Show and Ideal Home Show at Christmas events are held at the Olympia exhibition centre in West Kensington, London which is an ideal location due to its transport links. The Kensington (Olympia) Underground Station is literally opposite the entrance to the Olympia.

As soon as I walked through the turnstiles at the station I could hear Christmas music and could see the absolutely spectacular entrance! Snow, Santa’s sleigh, copious amount of Christmas trees and Santa’s reindeer! I am the biggest kid when it comes to Christmas so really wanted to ask someone to take a photo of me in the sleigh but I thought it would have been too weird haha!

This years event ran from Wednesday 23rd November to Sunday 27th November and prices ranged from £13 (for an adult, depending on when you went and if you booked online) to £37.50 for the VIP experience.

The VIP experience included access to the exclusive VIP Lounge, welcome drink, show Guide, Goody Bag, VIP seating at the Christmas Theatre and much more! So if you’re a child like me and want the most out of the Christmas experience then I would definitely suggest the VIP package!

This years event featured appearances from Gino D’AcampoKatie Piper & Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen to name a few! So I’m very much looking forward to seeing who is going to be their next year!

The venue was absolutely huge and there is something for everyone! We were shown around by event organiser Ashley who said the average time someone spends at the show is 5 hours! So make sure you leave yourself enough time to experience every aspect of the show! Whether its watching a food tutorial at the Food Theatre or listening to the live singers on the bandstand, you do NOT want to miss a thing!

We were literally like children in a toy shop! If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen my Insta Story of me running around trees and singing Christmas carols! (if you don’t follow me then you really missed out on those haha) but it was a great evening and perfect for the whole family!

Whats even better is children under 15 go in free of charge (Must be accompanied by a paying adult *maximum of 2 children per paying adult*).

You can see from the above image just how vast the show was! So many different and interesting stools to visit! I can assure you, you will have no money left in your bank account, but 100’s of bags of festive goodies to take away! Start Christmas the right way and also pick up some cheeky Christmas gifts!

The Ideal Home Show (non Christmas show) returns to London on the 24th March – 9th April 2017 which I will 100% be attending! You can book tickets HERE.

A big thank you to Ashley at Media 10 for inviting us to the event and letting us in on some new exciting projects Ideal Home has to come in the future! I couldn’t recommend the show enough! If you’re looking for a Christmas Market which is indoor and warm then this is for you!
