The Talented Mr Ripley | Theatre Royal Brighton
The Talented Mr Ripley is a stylish and chilling stage adaptation that cleverly brings Tom Ripley’s dark mind to life. The set design is simple but brilliantly versatile, transforming from a bar to a car to a pool with seamless creativity. Ed McVey delivers a standout performance as Ripley – cold, calculating, and quietly terrifying – supported by Bruce Herbelin-Earle and Maisie Smith, who both shine in their roles. While a few dialogue-heavy moments slow the pace, the inventive staging and striking performances make this a gripping watch from start to finish.
